Criterion News Mrs. George Albright spent Thursday night with Mrs. Kirsch Buster Skinner is in school again after two I weeks absence. Ted Moss is working on the Two Springs section this week. Roy Baxter spent the week end with John Halls. Alford Herrling spent the week end at Criterion, returning to Bend Monday. Harry Skinner spent Sunday with Tom Moss. Henry Wilson is in school again after about three months absence. Mrs. Homer Martin spent the day with Mrs. Wilson Saturday. Miss Fischer spent Friday night at her sisters Mrs. Trout man. Mrs. Homer Martin spent Sun day with Mrs. Albright. A birthday surprise was given for Edgar Hall Thursday night it being his sixteenth birthday. The evening was spent in cards and games after playing a few games of five hundred the young folks pulled taffy everyone wish ed Edgar many more ' happy birthdays. . Lester McCorkle walked in from the farm and visited his mother Mrs. R. W. McCorkle, the first part of the week. Walter Ledford and family were in Maupin Monday display ing the enormous wolf hide that Walter recently killed. They left Tuesday morning for their home at White Salmon. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bothwell and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gabel returned Monday from a short visit in Portland. Around Maupin Mrs. H. F. Woodcock announc ed this morning that their radio is receiving very satisfactorily and last night they listened in on seven broadcasting stations including Los Angeles and San Francisco.
