BLAGRvS MITHING I have opened a blacksmith shop for 'all around blacksmithirg at my old stand opposite Woodcock's mill and am prepared to do work at reasonable rates. A. F. MARTIN Criterion News Mr. and Mrs. I). D. Wilson made a trip to Shaniko last Fri day in their car. B. F. Herrling is spending the winter at Bend. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Duus spent Sunday with Mr. and Mis. Rutherford. Mfcs Fischer also spent Sunday there. P. J. Kirsch and family e ent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Appling. C. U. Robison made a trip to Shaniko Monday. The roads are not very good is the report. Roy Baxter spent a few days this week at Mr. and Mrs. John Hall's home. Edgar Hall helped Floyd Mc Leor butcher this week. C A. Duus is feeding sheep for Connolly Bros. Harry Skinner and son Butte r are spending the week at Ti e Dalles on business. Ted Moss helped Mr. Appling butcher this week. Mr. Moss is able to be up again after a spell of flu. j Mr. and Mrs. Ward of Blakely Cluif ranch arc spending two or so months at Two Springs, feed ing sheep. Charles and Margaret Albright are spending a few ("ays this week visiting their aunt at Two Springs. The ground hog saw his shadow on the second alright. It being a beautiful sunny day. We have had very nice weather the past week. School Notes The pupils of the grades will give a "joint program in the pri mary room, Thursday, February 22, commencing at 2 o'clock.
