around blacksmithing at my old stand
opposite Woodcock's mill and am prepared
to do work at reasonable rates.

Wamic citizens were pleased
to have mail service after an ab
sence of nearly a week, the train
being able lo go over the road
Thursday the first time since the
flood.
The citizens of this place hope
to never again witness such a
flood as the recent one and never
before in the history of the place
has such a deluge of water rush
ed down this canyon.
The homes of A. E. Lake,
Charley Crofoot, Willie Norval
and Dick Palmateer were almost
deluged by the high water. All
but the Lake family left their
homes for awhile as the water
threatened to enter their houses
and did run into Dick Palmateer
house. He had to carry grand
ma Kin worthy to a place of safety
Mrs. Mary Gibson was among
those who had to abandon the
home on account of the flood.
The writer suffered property
on fron tha flojd having some
fencing carried away and wash
outs of immense depth.
Little Lyle Driver is some
what improved from pneumonia
but i3 very ill yet.
Mrs. Flora Savage, who ac
comanied her husbands remains
here spent several days with re
atives. She and Alvin returned
to Oregon City Saturday.
Miss Keltic- Powell had to dis
miss school the former part of
last! week, having an attack
of tonsilitis. She was able to
resume school Thursday.

Wamic seems to have caught
the spirit of the pleasure of mask
