He will settle his father's estate and visit his children who reside at Los Angeles. Word wa3 received here of the death of Mrs. Mary Alexander, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Goodwin, at Donald Wn. July 18. She was buried at the Tahoma cemetery in Yakima She is the last of the Ferris fami ly who were early pioneers in the Wapinitia country. Mrs. Alexander has many friends here who are saddened by her death. A party of twenty men, head ed by John Gavin, Jr. came out from the mountains where they were fighting fire last week, go ing to The Dalles. Marion Farlow of Smock is here harvesting his crop on the old Farlow place.' Mrs. and Ladelphia are with him.
