teacher, left Friday night for

Jim Maddron and Mr. Edward
left on Saturday for Arlington,
where they will be busy for some
time boring wells.
Mrs. Jacob Teschner and
three children are going to Port
land Wednesday to attend a fam
ily reunion.
Mr. R. W. Richmond and
Everett were over night guests
at the parsonage last Wednesday
Mr. Keen of St. Johns is again
in our midst.
Mrs. Appling of Portland is
here visiting her children.
Mrs. Hedin and daughter,
Nova are going to Portland Wed
nesday to attend the graduation
exercises of Miss Gladys Rether
ford, Mrs. Hedin ' sister.
Mrs. W. 0. Wilson returued
home Friday, having spent two
or three weeks with her daugh
ter Goldie. She reports a new
grandson.
Mrs. Maddron and children
expect to leave soon for a sum
mers outing.
Nathan Hill and son Kenneth
visited the Doctor at Dufur on
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ira Grisham and
mother were in Maupin Tuesday.
The farmers here on the flat
were all made glad by a fine rain
last Thursday and Friday.
Mrs, Weberg was a Dufur
visitor Monday.
Shearing is the order of the
day at J. P. Abbott's sheep camp.

his ranch near Lebanon.
Miss Olga Abbott has returned
to the home of her parents for
the summer.
