Mrs. Florence Kucks of Grass
Valley visited her parents Satur
day and Sunday at Tygh, Bertha
and Mary Muller went home
with her.
A very large crowd attended
tha pisnia at Tygh Valley Satur
day almost equaling that of the
fair there last fall. The picnic
was an interesting one, the fea
tures of the entertainment being-
very satisfactory. The play,
Kejavinating Aunt Mary" pro
ved to be one of the most succes
ful pd charming event ever held
at the I. 0. O.'F. hall in 7yv,h
The characters of the play were
ably sustained doing credit to
both the pupils and the manner
of their training which was the
work of Mrs. Clyde T. Bonney.
The broceeds of the play and
rlancc which followed netted $100
.59 which will be used in pajirf
on a piano purchased by the
school. Scott Beatty and family of
Hartland Wn- visited Mr. and
Mrs. John McCorkle on Juniper
Flat 'Saturday night.
Among them who attended
the ball game at Maupin Sunday
were Willis and Vard Norvel,
and Joe Chastain and their fam
lies.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Driver,
Paul Muller and Mr. and Mrs
Carl Dahl attended the ball game
at Maupin Sunday.
Miss Jessie Aiken and Miss Anna
Hallyburton of the. Tygh school
returned to their homes Monday
the former going to Dufur and
the latter to the Dalles.
Mrs. J. T. Harper-has refited
the hotel in Tygh for a lodging
house, making many improve
ments both in the house and the
grounds.
Stephen Wing is building a
new porch in front of the tele
phone office in Tygh.
Zene Watkins, Frank Wing
and their families left Sunday
for The Dalles where they . have
employment on the market road.

Fin Batty of San Diego was
in town Thursday shaking hands
with old friends and renewing
acquaintances. He stopped in
Maupin enroute to Idaho.

School District No. 84, of Wasco
County, Oregon, on the 5th day
of June, A. D. 1922 between the
hours of two o'clock p. m., and
seven o'clock p. m., there will
be submitted ' to the legal
voters thereof the question of
contracting a bonded indebted
ness in the sum of $12000 for the
purpose of Building and equip
ping a High School building in
and for said school district.
The vote to be by ballot upon
which shall be the words "Bonds'
-Yes" and "Bonds No"; and
the voter shall place a cross (x)
between the word "Bonds" and
the word "Yes" or between the
