Clifford Palmateer sat up out of bed yesterday, the first since his recent attack of pneumonia. School close here Friday. A picnic dinner, literary program, and athletic sports were givet Sunday by the pupils in the Joe Chastain jrrove above town. A telephone meeting was held here Saturday afternoon but w definite arrangements were made Ed Driver, Willis Norval and Bill Johnson went to Maupin yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank MagiM are papering and repainting the inside of the hotel before mov ing into it.
