I got him to buy a 20-acre ranch. It la i 1-2 miles weBt of SheridaD, so we will be ranching it next year. Well I am just fine And dandy; have plenty to eat as I have a dandy garden. I have a ten gal lon keg almost full of cucumber pickles. Canned some peas an 1 apples; will have my own potatoes and will not have to buy any; have a dandy patch of tomatoes, the best that I have seen around here. My house rent only costs me 13 per mouth and two lots with it and I have them in pota toes and beans. Water Qnly costs me 75 cents per month and just as good as the Maupin water. Mrs. Driver livwj in the vicinity of Wamic all her life and has many friends there and also in this city who will grieve to hear of hor death. She issuiviv ed by her husband, two brothers, Guy and Bud Harvey, two sinters, Mrs. Percy Driver and Mrs. A'ta Miller, and her mother, Mrs. David Campbell of Wamic. WHEAT COMING WOOL SHIPPING The present is the season for lively business for the local grain warehouses as they are reaping in the big crops of wheat grown on the farms of this section and large surrounding territory. "The wheat coming iu Is of very good quality," stated Mana ger W. C. Bolton of the Hunts Ferry, aud holding out even better in many instances than had been expected. Manager W. 0. Miller reports the Maupin Co. intake to ratio about two -thirds sack grain. While the main warehouse is about filled, the spacious base meut may yet be used. The official reports of grain testa made some time ago by Mr. Bolton and Mr. Miller some time ago have arrived and show their tests 100 per cent correct. A few of the farmers have all their grain in, many are yet haul ing aud a number have not com menced. Threshing is still iu operation on a number of farms. While many teamB aud wagons are employed, the use of trucks has become quite popular. Two carloads of wool were billed from the Hunts Ferry for Boston yesterday.
