Base Ball!
We had a chance last Sunday
of witnessing what baso ball ex
perts claim to be the most closely
contested ball game ever played
on the Manpm held. 1 he game
proved to be a hummer from the
very start and not until Maupiu
made a score in the lSJih inning
did the onlookers know which
team would carry of the spoils of
victory. 'The final score at this
time was 4 to 8 in favor of the
home team. The boys all did
excellent playing and deserve
much credit for the way they
handled the ball and the sports
man like spirit that prevailed
during the progress of the game.
The same tenuis will battle
again next Sunday on the Dufur
field. Every one who possibly
can'should go over and root for
the home team.

Maupin team in next Sunday,
