Harvey Vanderpool
Harvey Vanderpool, younger
Bon of W. C. Vanderpool o( Nampa
Idaho, passed away at his home
there a week ago Wednesday and
was brought to Dufur and laid
beside his mother in tlie family
lot last Friday. Harvey had been
a victim of creeping paralysis
since he was a small child and his
death i was expected. He was
about 18 years of age and had
made many friends everywhere he
lived With his kind and patient
disposition.
Base Ball!
Next Sunday, April 4lb will be
a big day for Maupin. One of
the best ball games of the season
is to be played on the local held.
The Dufur fans will be over with
the strongest bunch of players
they have ever had on the field.
It promises to be interesting from
the record of games in th past
years has been very well divided.
Last year two games were played
betweeu the two teams, Maupin
winning one and Dufur one. The

Much interest is beiug shown
by both primary and intermediate
rooms in the study and framing of
famous pictures. It the interest
does not abate we shall soon have
quite an art exhibit. Saud table
