Mrs, Puuting was called to Goldendale last week to care for her brother who was seriously ill with pneumonia. Word has beeu received here since that her broth er died and that Mrs. Poutiug was ill with influenza'. Dr. Shannon who has been ill lor some time is unable to attend to his practise yet. One lady on being asked for a donation informed the collector that they didn't treat her son right iu Furope, so she wouldn't give anything to the fund.
