Mark of Appreciation
As a mark of appreciation to
one of our esteemed soldiers, Nic
kolas Koroles, who has been fight
ing for our country, some of our
countrymen entered his homestead
caiiin during his absence and" stole
everything that wag necessary for
housekeeping.
No doubt crops will be good in
bis vk-hity since his farming im
plement were all taken and evi
dently used.
This w holesale theft was caused
no doubt by the erroneous report
of his death while lighting over
sens for our country.
On returning last week from
oveiseas duly Nick made his Lome
stead a vinit, planning to lemain
overnight. Arriving at a late
hour he found all blankets and
uteimels gone, so lit- was obliged to
return to Maupin nod sleep in a
chair, the only -jivuilnhle rest.
A uiau who has fiiveii up hia
own country and is willing to
jiva his life for oith reitaiuly
should be shown more lerpect.
Any information lending to the
recovery of Nick's property will
be appreciated.
