The char acters wore well represented and proved a pleasing and interesting entertainment. A French minuet in quaint dress by the small pu pils of Miss Comptons room wus a charming feature. Charley Luke gave a reading. The Woodcock orchostra furnished music. The door receipts netted nearly fifty dollars. The proceeds will be used for school purposes. A midnight dance was givon in the hall below after the show. The play will be repeated in Shattucks hall at Maupin Friday night April 18. At White River Mr. Maddox and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lucore' made a trip to The Dalles Sunday. When re turning home near Kingsley the oar went into a rut and" Dr. Short turned his cur quickly avoiding a serious accident. The car was damaged but no on was hurt. Pr. Short brought them as far bs Kingsley. Mr. Maddox and two sons and Mr. Lucore walked to E. 0. Webb, wife and sister went went to The Dalles and returning brought Mrs. Lucore and Mrs. Maddox and daughter home, Church Notice John G, Hessler, pastor.
