Kianey went to Trout- dule Friday to attend the Adyent ist camp meeting. She has attend ed t he camp meeting every year for the past nine years. Mits Lee Doeriue and little sis ter Alma were up from Tygh visit ing Mrs. Hazel Doering at the Orange Brittain home. Mr. and Mrs, Yard Nofvel of Juniper and Mrs. Ed Burlingame of Huntingto came here Saturday. J. A. Ward of Davenport, Wn will be principal of the school lere. Miss M. K, Compton will teach the primary room. Graut Ledford and family were down from Stuotk today. Orange Brittain and Wilbur Wing brought a fine lierd of beef cattle from the mountains Friday. Mike Urban is very ill with typhoid fever. Mrs. Eltie McCorkle, Mrs. Mary Spoor, Miss Dorothy McCorkle, Miss Crystal Pratt and D. A. Wilson went to The Dalles Satur day, Mr. Wilsou going on to Saw- tell, Cal. D. M. Stancliff and two tons were down from Smock Saturday. Frank Wing and family of Tygli visited relatives here last week. Mrs. Bell Prout and grandaugh tw, Leone Zumwalt were here yesterday from Huntington. Steph Wing went to The Dalles Saturday. Morrison : I auijust in receipt of a letter from Mr. Cayallo written at Bor deaux ou July 22, 1918, so appaars tliat the report of his death which was current here aud which vou published in issue of May 10, is erroueous. From Mr. Cavallo'a letter I find that he has not even been wouuded but is working hard, "fat and sassy" and in his usual good health, so please cor rect your former erroneous report.
