Terry Jones of Smock viited in Tygh Monday. Mrs. Mabel Hull and two small boys left Tuesday for Juueari, Al aska, after spending the whiter here with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Wiil Lui'ue, W. E. Woodcock went to The Dalles Monday, returning Wed uosday. Mrs, Ipha Duncan went to The Dalits Monday to meet her par entp, Mr. and Mrs. John Howell of Portland, transacting busineis with them. Tom Woodcock took his mother Mis, Nan Woodcock, Ed Wood cock and Mrs. Ethel Duncan to Sherar Tunesday, being on their way to Portland, where Mrs. Woodcock took medical treatment, A girl . baby weighing eight pounds was born Friday to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Magill. A. It. Chase of The Dalles mix ed sqirrel poison here Friday for the farmers. He also visited the school and gave a test in cream mill being taken from V H. Magill's, A. E. Lake's and Henry Miller's cows. The letter gave the highest test. John Elder, a hotel man at Mosier, was here Friday looking for stock cattle, going to the J, E. Kennedy place. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Crabtree were over from Juniper Saturday, remaining over night at the F. A.. Swift home. . .Frank Magill went to Sherar Sunday to meet Mrs. Oscar Card who came from Gateway. Dale Bonney brought (he road engine up from Tygh Friday and took the road plow from here to the Tygh grade where he and W, E, Woodeock are making improve ments on the grade. The Red Cross workers complet ed their organization for an aux iliary Saturday afternoon, electing Mrs. Josie Lake chairman, Mrs May Bernhngen yice chairman, Mrs. Mamie Kennedy secretary and A. E. Lake treasurer. Many persons are having a iouch of the grip here of late, though no serious cases so far. Mrs. Elsie Campell and Mrs, Dalv Driver are on the sick list though not conlined to their beds. Bill Smith of Happy Ridge visit ed at the Frank Gesh home Sunday Mrs. Nora Miller and son Geo, went to The Dalles Sunday, tak ing Mrs. T. A. McLenan as a -sailor. The Frenchs Jazz orchestra from Grass Valley furnised the music. Supper was served at midnight. Berry Wilson has been visiting tome people at Helton, Ky.'
