There are a great many boys stationed here and it is sure a pretty sight" to see all the men in, the field in their blue uniforms drilling. There are boys here from almost every stale in the union. But there is a feel, ing of universal friendship through out the entire camp and a fellow is heartily welcomed to camp. It makes one feel as though they were all old friends. . We have good comfortable quar ters and plenty to eiit and that with a letter from home now and then is what it takes to mukc'a happy Jack Tar. - Wo have shore liberty every day if we want it. Philadelphia is a queer old town and never ceases to be of interest to the westerner. It is only a few minutes ride from the navy yard on the street car. I cannot speak in too high praise of the work of the Y. M. C. A. We have a real nice one here.
