The second annual Club Rally held at this place Saturday was a great success. Although the weather was rather uncertain, peo ple from all parts of the county attended. Yockey excited the people on Up per Smock by reporting over the phone that a huge bear was in his hog pen, and killing his hogs, Mr. Yockey struck the bear over t ie ht.nl with a piece of ,2x4 when i tuitned on him, and he made tracks as fast as he could for the bouse and called the neighbors as he did not have n gun. C. N. F irlow hurried over and shot the bear after it had bad 1) mutilated one of Mr. Yockey's best brood s )W8. By that time quite a tium-b-r of people had arrived iu autos and S. G.
