White River The obituary of Gideon Rains will appear next week- Colonial Party (Tygh) Mrs. Shannon, Mies Harper and Miss Black entertained Friday ev ening March 2, with a Colonial costume party to which they in vited a number of the young peo ple of this section. Every one came appropriately dressed, a number of characters being repre sented. The house was tastefully decorated in the natural colors. The entertainment of the evening was begun by a march during which partners were secured by comparing rhymes, after, which maiiks were removed. The rest of the evening was spent in playing well chosen games. A main fea ture of the evening was' the re freshments in wbieh the national colors 'were also displayed. Dr. El wood was called to the Morrow home Sunday to attend John Jr. who is very ill. Sidney and Leonard Wilson were down from Wapinitia Friday J. G. Tunison made a trip to Madras Saturday returning Tues day. Quincy Morrow is working at the plant this week. Cbas. Labsch is home again af ter an absence of several weeks. Mrs. J. G.
