Supplement to The Maupin Times Vol. 2, No. 23, Maupin, Oregon, March 17, 1916 A Godly Life Mary A. Saunders was born in Sullivan County, Tenn , March 16, 1826, and died at Gravelford. Ore., Jan, 28, 1916, almost com pleting her 90 years of pilgrim age on this old earth. I October 12, 1848. she was unit ed in marriage with James A. Bunch in Polk County. Missouri. In 18f)6 they moved to Kansas, and from there to Newton Coun ty. M'ssoun where they accent d the litrht of present troth in 1870. through the reading of literature and the efforts of Elder Blanchard. In 1871 they moved to Uuma ilia County. Oregon, and were charter members of the first church in the North Pacific Unio'i Conference, organizaed a' Milton, Oregon, it. 1872, and late hen Elder VanHorn came 'jtro if was moved to Walk Walla. The membership of this pioneer church wan scat'ered over a radius i f TO miles and could H meet together but one- jtfwter, 1 en a two day'; meeting wan held and the ordin ances observed- In 1879 they moved to Coos County, Ore., where they again did pioneer self-supporting mis sionary work. Professor W. H. Bunch, a son was for 18 years county superin intendent of schools in Coos Co., and is now teaching in Gravel f m Acad-my. The other children have all taken an active part in local church work and the advance ment of the cause of God in the earth. Besides 8 children, there are 38 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. ' Elder T. G.
