The choir, under the supervis ion of Prof. Skirvin, meets every Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Pratt. A subscription list is being circulated here to aid in buying ground at Tygh Vallev for a pub lie park. This is done at the instigation of the Southern Wasco Fair Association which proposes to buy suitable grounds for an annual fair, said grounds to be also used for a public park. Much enthusiasm ia felt among the citizens here for the promo tion of the enterprise A. C Pratt, who has been en gaged in chopping wood at the Sharp place; returned home Wed nesday, having a bad attack of heuralgia in the head. Mrs. Mary Beaty is suffering .from a badly ulcerated tooth. ' The dance given in the new hall Wednerday night was great ly enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Burlingame and Mrs. George Chandler gave the supper, which was appreciated by everyone.
