Tygh (Public School Paragraphs) fhe boys pf the high school classes have organized ' a basket ball team and are spending most of! the time at recess practicing in view of a challenge from a neighboring team in the near future. The pupils of all grades are en joying the large swings recently erected for their benetjt. One set of teu are twenty feet high. We are glad to note that Miss Agnes McCorkle, who has been quite i'l with typhoid fever, is improving and we hope she will soon be able to be about again. Lester Brittain left school the first of the week. His grandfather Brittiau is very ill. The county surveyor was at Wamic Wednesday looking over the new reservoier and surrounding country. The school children enjoy their new swings very much, even the elders are anxious to share in the sports, e wonder why there are 110 school reports in our paper, surely the children would enjoy it, and endeaver to have their names men tioned on the honor roll. Joe Wing butchered some fine looking hogs this week. Mr. R. Fitzpatrick's brother and nephew have beeu visiting him the last lew weeks, C. W. Wing is hauling lumber for Dr. Brown. Jake Davidson has purchased new car. Jack WataNobia has been putting some of his poikers in the bartel this week. Jack is tired of the hog business at wheat in the sky. Mark Rowan and Quince Mor row were trainactinsr. business in The Dalles this week. The library fias been moved to the A M. Young residance. Sam Bennett is still rounding up cattle before snow conies.
