Frank Woodcock, U. S, land office register, has a new Frank "six" automobile of which he is particularly proud. The car is handsome in appearance and at tracts much admiring attention on the streets. W. M. Young of Tygh Valley spent Tuesday in The Dalles. , o J. W. Staats of Maupin is in the city, The Tygh Valley fair will open Wednesday and continue for three days. It is probable that a large number of Dalles resi dents will motor to Tygh Valley to attend the fair. The indus trial exhibits are said to be ex ceptionally good and the school disDlay is far above the average in every way. Boosters of the fair say it is well worth a trip to Tygh' Valley.
