Oil in Abundance
George A. Beavis of the Beav-is-May
Oil Co. was in the fcity
today and Btated that oil in
quantities from six to 10 barrels
a day is flowing into the well
which is being drilled near Duf ur.
The well is being recased and in
the progress of this work it was
necessary to pull up some of the
old casing. The oil is so thick
that the casing removed from the
well is covered with oil, which
can be scraped off. Mr. Beavis
stated that the present quantity
of oil practically assures that a
much larger flow will be struck
when drilling is resumed in the
near future.
