ORhGON Those of the primary room who took the examinations and passed were Barrel Turner, Tom Smith, Mary Martin, Fern Mayhew, Laura and Vera Goetjeu. Harold, Helen and Earl Locke were visitors at the school Tuesr day and intend to take in the pic nic today. John Moad and Loujs Emmons passed in the ninth grade examin ation last week and are now ready and eager for teuth grade work. The most of the pupils in the sixth grade passed. Several will have a chance during vacation to catch up. The final examination last week shows that the school is strongest in grammar and weakest in spell ing. The studies in the order of the standings are language, his tory, bookkeeping, mathematics, reading, literature, physiology, geography, spelling. School closes today until Sept, ember 13. All have worked well and are deserving of a good vaca tion. Both of the teachers think that their pupils are a lot of good hearted boys and girls, and they are glad to cooperate with the parents in the proper training of these hopeful future citizens. During the school year 56 pupils were enrolled, Not a pupil was present every day and not late. Violet Miller was neither absent nor tardy for over seven months j till she graduated; Vera Goetjeu has not lost a day but was late twice; Lonis Emmons was never late but lost a day and a half Willie McClure was never late, but j was absent only one day.
