THE YEAR $1.50
The
M
Greater Wasco
County
' We are in Maupin to keep The
Times on its progressive move,
This week we are somewhat hand
icapped in getting machinery
installed which arrived late. The
Times will continue for. the pres.
eut under the ownership of VV. C.
Walker and will be edited and
managed by the undersigned,
Mr. Walker will issue a morning
daily paper at The Dalles, which
promises to make good. He is a
live wire and deserves a liberal pat
ronage. This section has a won
derful future and Maupin's fijue
representation of business men
will put it on the map if nothing
else will. This along with many
other future prospects, which even
tually will materilir.e, gives an 'at
mosphere of progression ' that
means not only a greater Wasco
county, but the largest aud best
ocated little city in the southern
portion, ' ,
