1 9. The members of the Christian
Endeavor will sponsor the Christ
mas play to be put on at the
church Christmas eve at 8 o'clock.
The committee in charge is com
posed of Mrs. Roy Hands, Mrs.
Claude Sherman and Iula Hull.
A half hour of music, consisting
of chorus and solo work will pre
cede the play. "The Greatest Day
of the Tear." There will be 27
characters and the scene is the
palace of time, with a review by
Father Time, to chose from all the
days of the year the one that is
greatest. The costumes and music
are in keeping with the play.

Grange play, "Hack to the Farm,"
drew a good-sited audience Friday
evening at the W. O. W. hull. The
theme was to demonstrate the value
of education along farming lines
mixed with a bit of romance and
comedy that kept a live interest.
Each member of the cast carried
his part to perfection. The stage
decoration were a feature. The
opening scene making a veritable
farm-yard out of tho stage. Be
tween the first and second acts a
male quartet sang a number. The
receipts were close to $40. The
following was the cost of char
acters: Chas. Merrill, a farmer of the old
school. Mr. Chas. Wetxel.

church here Friday night was well
attended and over 120 was taken
In at the cafeteria supper, to be
applied to the purchaso of a carpet
for the church. The program was
very Interesting, a fcaturo being
the old-style costumes worn by 12
of the women.

Hattie M. Burlington was born
March 12. 1853. at Rattle Creek
Mich. She was married September
24. 1871. to M. O. Aylesworth of
uurraio. Y. Two sons and three
daughters were born, both sons
and one daughter have sinoe died.
She leaves her husband and two
daughters. Fannlj Newell, Erie.
Kansas, and Nellie Widner of
Junction City. Twelve grand
children and four great grand
children also survive. She has
lived in this . community many
years. She wa a member of the
Baptist church.
