Although it Ih scarcely known
to the outside world, Armenia Is
rich In gold, copper, sliver, load
and Iron. Deposits of naptha, bi
tumen, sulphur and nitrate have
never been developed.
Tho Armenians have an extra
ordinary tenacity of national cul
ture, religion and language. All
the Bchoolbooks, newspapers, gov
ernment documents and utreet
signs are In the Armenian langu
age. One cannot travel far In Armenia
without noticing tho vital Influence
America has exercised upon the
Armenian race. Scarcely a family
but has. Home member or relative
In the United Btates, who sends
them money regularly from home.
Kvery native, even tho humblest
mountain dweller knows of the ef
forts made by the late Woodrow
Wilson to secure complete inde
pendence for the Armenians, The
American traveler Is received In
tho homes of the natives as a
guest of honor and hospitality of
tho house b lavished upon him.
This feeling for the American
people has been strengthened and
fostered by the work of the Ameri
can near east relif organization.
Alexandropol, which was rebuilt
largely through American energy,
money and enterprise, resembles a
city in the United States. A splen
did theatre is now being built
there by the municipality which
will be called the "American
thoatro," in honor of the American
relief workers.

Kalzburg by a young Vienna
Bclenthit, Dr. KonHtuntln Schneider,
ha turned out to be a rair copy of
tho. "Grand Mann," which Weber
ilimHOlf had regarded an lout.
This work, as it appears from a
dedicatory letter attached to the
manuscript, was wrltton in Munich
in 1799, and was dedicated by the
youthful composer to the Prince
Archbishop of Salzburg, on May 3,
1802. ;
The mass, which Is the principal
work of the compoaer's youth and
was culled by Weber "Mlssa Soie
mne," is written for four voices,
with great orchestra and organ. It
gives the ' Impression that the
youthful master desired to demon
strate his talent in every direction.
Each phraso has a special theme,
which, was not Weber's custom In
later years.

because of his alleged participation
in the murder of the Romanoffs.
At first, the Polish government
was unwilling to accept Volkoff,
but when tho soviet officials de

bloody he was received.
, The book of JUdge Sokoloff,'
who Investigated the murder, how

by Volkoff, ashing for gaso

for diplomatists and their Wives to
ignore this, ,
Many of the wives declined to.
meet Madame Volkoff and the
matter became tho subject of
diplomatic representations. At
least one Scandinavian government
offered apollgles to Moscow for
the snubbing given Madame Vol

Madame Volkoff left Warsaw
temporarily and upon her return
apparently renounced -her soclaU
ambitions, with the result that the
boycott against her has been re

In a human body there is stored up just s6 many units of energy.
The units expended in walking are wasted they can be saved
and diverted to some other use. .
For instance a man's life's record consist of the things he has
accomplished. By speeding up the program and cramming more
into the same space of tinra naturally the list of accomplish
ments will be much more impressive. This speeding up process
may be accomplished by the purchase of a Used Ford Car and
devoting it to business. . ' ' .
If greater luxury is desired later, the Used Ford is a gbbd step
ping stone. It always has good trade-in value anyplace.
