8. Mrs. T. O. Billings of Cottage
Grove was seriously injured yes
terday when she was struck by an
auto driven by Alfred Green, of
Bellingham. Wash.
Mrs. Billings had started acros t
the street and upon seeing the rr.e
close upon her, became confused
and stepped back directly Into its
path. The driver of the car was
not detained by Police Chief
Pitcher,. who conducted an investi
gation. A report from the hospital,
where she la being attended by Dr.
C. E. Frost. -stated that Mrs. Bill
ings was doing well, and would be
able to return to her home within
a few days.
