United States, in thA fjinal, singles match 3 and one, OREGON TO PUY FIRST : THREE GAMES IN EUGENE Varsity Will Meet Whitman in rendieton The TTnfvrsity of Oregon ' first three football games this fall will bo played in Eugene, and it is the belief of Jack Beneflel, graduate manager, that the students will appreciate see ing the varsity team developing into the perfected squad which will leave the home grounds to tangle with Whitman in Pendleton on October 20. This will be the first time Oregon has ever played football in the far eastern part of the state. On September SO Pacific1 univer sity comes here for the season s opener. One week following the cur tain raiser on September 7 Willam ette will tackle the Lemon Yellow grldsters in their native lair. Having eroded some of the rpst of vacation in the first two minor tussles, the varsity men will tangle with Multno mah club on Hayward field on Octo ber 14.
