glasses, or of those so-called Opticians who viait small towns in any
part of the state and may not be d uly qualified to practice under such
conditions. Before patronizing any such, you should oblige him to
certify his regular registered place of business, give a receipt for
every pair of glasses sold, which receipt shall contain his own signa
ture, his permanent place of business, and he must have one, the
number of his certificate, together with a specification of the lenses
furnished and the amount charged therefor. It is also against the
State Law to advertise any Optometrist's business or treatment, or
advice in which untruthful, improbable or impossible statements
are made, such, for instance, as a - recent graduate advertising his
long years of experience, great skill and ability, etc.,1 which is un
truthful and misleading, and is subject to prosecution, fine or impris
onment, or both. (
The law also applies to unprofessional conduct, moral turpitude,
gross ignorance or inefficiency in his profession, for sending untruth
ful statements or advertisements through the mail, the obtaining of
any fee by fraud or misrepresentation.
We want to purge the state of any undesirable, unreliable, wilful
offenders. Any information concerning such may be given to the
nearest police office, the sheriff, or this office, charges collect, if by
telephone or telegraph. j
