Iu small lots the carrots are now
gjelling at 2H cents aud for large
lots, 2 cents. The change has been
looked for for about a week, due to It
being so late in the season, making
a shortage, aud because the recent
cold spell made it difficult to get the
carrots out of the -mmd.
Thursday was rather a Quiet day
at the market. Apples continued plen
tiful. Rest gradea of xellow New
towns were up to $1.50 a box. Jona
thans and Kuitxeubergs continued at
around $1 for good grades.
More of the early rhubarb, hot
house grown, was in Thursday. The
price continues at lo cents a pound,
retail.
A few pumpkina and squash con
tinue to come in. Dried prunes were
more in evidence Thursday, too.
At stall (SO was a fine display of
dressed rabbits Thursday.
