To keep up with the progress of Eugene and give, the Furniture buy
ing public the kind of a store it is entitled to, I have leased the lower
floors and basement of the new Miner Building on East Ninth Street.
It is my plan to open with a complete new stock of Furniture and
Honiefurnishings, giving Eugene a strictly modern store, embody -in
gall the very latest ideas in Furnishings for the home. In order to
carry out this plan I have given instructions to my salespeople to
cut our prices to the very limit. In passing through the store, I find
they have taken me at my word and on many items have reduced
prices half and there are a lot of nice pieces" of furniture marked
to sell at less than Half Price. They have absolutely disregarded
cost and have made prices that should clear out this stock in a very
short time.
