Former Portland
Student Sentenced
MEDFOKI), Ore, May 14. A mo
Hitter, IS, a' former student in the
Hrnson Polytechnic school of Port
lend, Wednesday afternoon pleaded
guilty to stealing an automobile and
was sentenced to serve a year in the
county jail, by Circuit Judge C. M.
Thomas. The court further ordered
that the youth, if arrangements could
be made, should work three months
on state highways during the sum
mer. "The report I get from the highway
work will govern me largely in grant
ing a parole later," the court aaid.

Alberta Potter, violinist, and Mrs.
Rex Underwood, pianist, will give a
