action of the bonrd.
The consolidation of district 162
with district DO in Lane county
was authorised following the re
sult of an election held In the dls-
. tricta last fall. District 162 known
as tho Green Leaf district Is now
abolished. Tho potlton to have
a smald part of district 13 added
to district 0 at (loshon was dis
missed y tho board' as the clork
of the school board In district 13
had not recolvcd an affidavit of
the posting of the notices. This Is
the second time that this petition
lias boon held up owing to failure
to conform to legal points of the
