"They're coming on a special train
from Sunla Hurbara to Medford. and
will play there the night of the

on to Kugene. will play here, in Port

He told of plans of the compsny to

years for the trip. They will leave
New York on .lune 10 on the tour.
"There will he a girl from every
state in the union when we leave on
the world tour." he snid. "And be
lieve me, it's) going to be some trip."
Sir. Ijcy is enthusiastic over the
production he represents. J
"When you see It. you ll renure
whnt I sny." he declared. "The show
is one of the biggest snd finest on the
road, barring none.
'1 here aro -4 different scenes on
the bill, according to the schedule,
nnd some of them, according to Mr.

most effective ever tried on the stage,

"It is one of the classical things on
the program." he ssid. "It ia so ar

back row. top row In the balrnny or
gallery, all get eiaotly the same ef
fect, it was difficult, but the produc
ers felt It was worth while, and so
it was done. The scene is very beau

veal the setting, with the violinist and
pisniit playing the beautiful Sonata,
it ia really very, very effective. I
know that It will be liked here as it

The whole production Is a "big. fast

"Mr. liallagher nd Mr. Shean,
famed throughout Ihe United Stales,
are not Ihe only big artists on the
program," he pointed out. "They, of

known, but they have surrounded
themselves with many other true ar

startling."

Why are the American
people so far ahead?
Wherever world-travelers come together, the amaz
ing comforts of Americans are sure to come in for dis
cussion. Why is it that the average American lives like
a king?
To be sure, he has more money to spend than any
other person in the world, but then he insists on spend
ing it to bring better living to himself and family. Who
knows what a subtle, but influential, part advertising
plays in putting the American people ahead?
Advertising by showing us new and better things,
keeps us from being satisfied with "well enough."
Advertising, by making us want more, wakens the
springs of action within us to get more. American ad
vertising is a pretty substantial explanation of American
advancement.
Read the advertisements. They call
you to better things.
