The Stanley building was designed
by V. K. Chantrr, who has had 'the
contract for erecting the building.
We believe this is one of the bet
buildings in Kugene; it ia of firm con
struction, is ft beautiful building, and

On the second floor are fifteen apart
ments, these having been leased by
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shaw. A full

tract.' The R. A. Ribh Hardware company
furnuhed the hardware.
The He.ieock Sash & Door com
pany furnished the doors and win
dows and light hardware.
The Kern iV.v Products company
sold tbe cream rug brick which faces
tli building, the brick having been
made at Willamiin, Oregon.
The brick work was done by Ge.
W. Hunter.
The Ford-Nelson Pinning mill did
a great deal of the finish work for
the building, .iru-luding the grocery
shelving and counters.
The Midgley Planing mill furnish'd
the p!ate ghts.
Harney Hugh, the live young rcnl
estate dealer, sold the lot to Stanley
and was'ttm real cmir of the starting
"f the whole thing.
The Wetlierbee-pniverB company
sold the Stanleys the permanent
apartment furnishings, including "toil

company, of Portland.
The beautiful white enamel Stand
ard sealoB seven of them In use in
the room worn " purchased through
Mr. Parks, Oregon representative of
the company.
The candy case, the -tobacco case,
the Sberer display case, tbe double
llobnrt coffee mill, the coffee nnd lea
cflse and the large McCray three-section
ice box were nil bought through
the Parks company.
Stanley says he has heard n dozen
salesmen knock Mr. Parks, and they
had him going for n while, but now
he thinks he has the secret, "Parka
is a darned good s.ilrsman and he
delivers lbs goods. 1 le's crowd in
some of the other guys out so fast
that all they get a chance to do is
knock a little on their way down."
