'Greed' is Greeted
As Unusual Film
If you want to see something ex
tremely different from I be usual flow
cry, "live happily ever after" motion
picture, you should ice "(J reed" now
showing at the lleilig. The production
is without exception the most unusual,
and at the same lime the most mor
bid, really gruesome one seen here
for a lung time. But the vehicle is
realistic to the last degree and that li
tho reason for seeing tliu portrayal
and finding something of worth and
interest in it.
"Greed" is not a particularly pleas
ing picture from the standpoint of
amusement or interest of theme. It is
an unusual play, and for that reason
is a supremo success. '
' Acting and character impersonation
attain real art, and show much tal
ent. There is a thread of a moral in
it, that one should not be a miser, but
it is the acting, tho scenery, and the
complete unusuulneas of the play that
aro tho attractions, and which, make
it a picture that every one should
see, for Krlc Von Htrohchn, producer,
has done his work in "Greed" in a
masterly fashion.
Now that It comes out that the pub
lishers of the New Universities JJic
tionary abandoned the printing plates
from which their former dictionary
was printed, it seems reasonable to
assume that all old dictionaries are
out of date.
It. appears that In recent years
there bus been more of a change in
th language than is generally rea
lized, I ue to the advancement of
j jM-icnee and invention, thousands of
J new words have come into daily use.
I This nlno necessitated numerous new
meanings to existing words, and many
I improvements in pronunciation have
I also been adopted.
I he piibliKhcrH of the new diction
ary saw these conditions far ahead
and made preparation accordingly.
So now they come out with an en
tirely new compilation that far rnir
passes any similar volume ever is
sued. It is being distributed only
to newspaper readers" as explained
in the coupon printed elsewhere fn
this issue.
You can't depend upon that old
dictionary now; so throw it away and
get this newly compiled volume with
its enlarged vocabulary and its num
erous special features.'

Of course not. But here's an interesting
blind coffee test you'll enjoy making. It
removes all prejudice. The coffee that
wins out deserves to win. The idea is to
test FOLGER'S "Golden Gate" Coffee
against the Coffee you are now using.
Get a can of FOLGER'S "Golden
Gate" Coffee from your grocer and
tomorrow morning serve Folger's for
breakfast. The following morning serve
the Coffee you have been using. The
next morning serve Folger's again.
Keep this up for a morning or two. But,
you mustn't let the family bwzv yvhich Coffee
you are serving. They must decide which
Coffee they like without knowing the
brand name. You'll really know then
which Coffee you'll want to continue.
