Meeker's "moving mountain" stopped
its trek into the Hio Jllsncn valley
last night after having "shifted"' ap
proiimately l.-)0 yards to a broader
base, ohervers today declared.

as the Meeker "moving mountain,"'
the present meandering of this moun

region, except to block the highway

Polish Divorces

WARSAW. March 2d. The dis
covery that 20,000 polish Catholic
couples have obtained divorces by
joining the Russian orthodox church
is causing concern to the Polish gov
ernment, which is considering meas
ures to restrict the movement.
The Rus-ian cfburiih shares the
Polish objections to the practice and
has instructed all the church authori
ties to handle divorce case wiih the
greatest care, refusing to ci-nrider any
case if the part ifs have belonged lo
the church for less than a year.
