playern, Harold (Red) Hidings, for
ward, and Waldo (Pete) Stoddard,
guard, brought disaster to the hopes
of the Uuiversity of California team
here lost night in the opening game
of. the threc-gnine series to decide
the championship of the Pacific Coast
conference. The Aggies won the tilt,
rt2 to 25.
The jzanie was decidedly speed', and
very spectacular. In the necond half
the score was tied at 18-aIl, but alter
that the Aggies pulled away and were
never headed again. The first half
ended 10 to 11 for the Aggies.
Jiittle Pete Stoddard, shooting
from his favorite corner, speared five
field goals in the first half and add

Red Ridings was high point man of
the game, with 16 markers. He caged
eight shots, some of them long ones,
and played a wonderful all-around
