Shovel Is Mired
Considerable difficulty has heen ex

steam shovel that is at work grading
for the new railroad l'ne to the Cham
bers sawmill near Cottage drove.
Work on the grading was started this
week and the moving of the big steam
shovel over the Boft ground has been
a hard task, according to those who
have watched the operations.
Road Work to Start
Work on the resurfacing of the Mo

been installed near Mabel and it is
expected to be iu operation within

Guardsmen to Meet

Mining Claim la Sold
The Smuggler mining claim in the
Bohemia field of southern Lane coun
ty has been sold by O. L. and Mary
Nelson to the Cosmos Investment
company which owns several claims
in that area. The transfer of the
claim hae been recorded at the office
of the county clerk.
Divorce Is Filed
Klma T. LeVan filed suit for di
vorce in circuit court today from her
husband Donald E. LeVnn. The plain
tiff charges cruel and inhuman treat
ment. The couple were married Feb
ruary 17, 1017 and have no .children
or property interests in common, the
complaint states.
