Variety Crops Out
In School Affairs
HARUISHUIK;, Feb. 16. (Spc
ci,l), Variety may occur in the most
cut and dried' business affairs. Ttic
local achool board has $20110 with
wliich to pay a long standing debt and
after a great deal of correspondence
and some little worry find that said
debt cannot be paid till K'2, possibly
11134. Tho facts are as follows: 1 he
money was borrowed when the addi
tion was built to the present school
house in Bil l and the workmen pajd.
But no entry of the loan was made in
the minute book and it took some lit
tle time and writing to locate who had
loaned the money. The bond holders
proved to be tie F. (!. Evans com
pany of Denver, and the men refused
to accept payment until the dates
atated above. So tho $20O will,
doubtless, lie put away to draw in
terest until the right time arrives to
liquidate the district school s honest
debts.
