Glenn l oung, former Williamson
county dry raider, his companions,
Edward Forbes and Homer Warner,
and Deputy Sheriff Ora Thomas,
U-Klan leader wero killed in Rat-

tions today were that the coroner's
jury would be unable to arrive at
any definite explanation of the affair
when it meets tomorrow.
Mrs. Young, wife of the slain liquor
raider, asserted that witnesses would
be at the inquest to verify an account
that her husband had been lured into
a trap and shot from behind.
K la nam en Keep Vigil
The body of the slain Young today
lay at the rirst Jtaptist church
red cross near the foot of the coffin
and Klansmen keeping vigil. The
purple robe of the reputed Klansman
bad been replaced by street clothes.
The bodies of Young a two bench
men and that of Deputy Sheriff
Thomas, Young's avowed enemy, wero
in tbeir homes. A joint funeral was
probable.
According to one version, the fight
followed a shot fired from the vicin
ity of a hotel Saturday night. As
the report sounded, Young and sev
eral others rushed to investigate. .
Four Are Killed
In a cigar store they met Thomas
and when the smoke cleared. Young,
shot through tbe heart, and two of
bis follower were dead, while Thorn
as lay on the floor dying. He died
in an hospital soon after, attendants
saying dcathe resulted from a wound
in his bead.
At least four men were known to
have been present at the shooting,
but their names remained unrcvealed.
An hour or two later the news reach
ed Governor Small. He immediately
communicated with Adjutant General
Carlos Black, who dispatched Major
H. W. Davis in charge of forty mil

battered window panes and bullet

Acid in Stomach
Sours the Food
A well-known authority stales that
stomach trouble and indigestion are
nearly always due to acidity acid
stomach and not, as most folks be
lieve, from a lack of digestico juices.
He states that an excess of hydro
chloric arid in the stomach retards
digestion and starts food fermenta
tion: then our meals sour like gnrbnge
in a can, forming acid fluids and gas
es, which inflnte the somnch like a
loy balloon. Wo then get that heavy
lumpy feeling In the chest, we eruc
tate sour fond, belch gas or have
heartburn, flatuleuce, water-brash or
nausea.
He tells us to lay aside all digestive
aids and iustcad get from any phar
macy four ounces of Jad Halts and
take a tablrsponnful in a glass of
water before breakfast, while it ia
effervescing, and furthermore, to
continue this for oue week. While
relief often follows the first dose,
it is Important to neutralise the
acidity, remove the gas-msking mass,
start the liver, stimulate the kid
neys and thus promote a free flow
of pure digestive Juices.
Jad Units Is inexpensive, and is
made from the acid of grapes and
lemon Juice, combined with lithla and
sodium phosphate. This harmless
salts is used by thousand nf stomach
suffcrcra with cicellrut results.

An Old Recipe
To Darken Hair
Almost everyone knows that
Saga Tea and Sulphur, properly
compounded, brings back the
natural color and lustra to tha
hair when faded, - atreaked or
gray. Years ago the only way to
get this mixture was to make it
at home, which Is muesy and
troublesome.
Nowadays we simply ask at any
drug store for "Wyeth a Sage and
Sulphur Compound." You will get
a large bottle of this old-time
recipe improved by tha addition
of other Ingredients, at very lit
tle cost. Everybody uses this
nrecaratlon now, because no one
can possibly tell that you dark
ened your hair, as It does It so
naturally and evenly. You damp
en a sponge or soft brush with
It and draw this through your
balr, taking one small strand at
a time; by morning the gray hair
disappears, and after another ap
plication or two, your hair be
comes beautifully dark, thick and

COLDS THAT
Chronio coughs and persistent cold:
lesd to serious Jung trouble. You can
stop them now with Creomulsion, an
emulsified creosote that is pleasant to
take. Creomulsion is a new medical
discovery with twofold action; it soothet
and heals the inflamed membranes and
kills the germ.
Of all known drugs, creosote is rec
ognized by the medical fraternity as the
greatest healing agency for the treat
ment of chronic coughs and colds and
other forms of throat and lung troubles.
Creomulsion contains, in addition to
creosote, other healing elements which
soothe and heal the inflamed mem
branes and stop the irritation and in
flammation, while the creosote goes on
to the stomach, is absorbed into the
blood, attacks the seat of the trouble
and destroys the germs that lead to
consumption.
Creomulsion is guaranteed satisfac
tory in the treatment of chronic coughs
and colds, bronchial asthma, catarrhal
bronchitis and other forms of throat
and lung diseases, and is excellent for
building up the system after colds or
the flu. Money refunded if any cough
or cold, no matter of how long stand
ing, is not relieved after taking accord
ing to directions. Ask your druggist.
