Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids will be received for the purchaso
of $103,015.34 of Eugene, Oregon,
Improvement Bond Series "W" by
the City Recorder at his office in the
City Hall in Eugene, Lane County,
Oregon, until 7:30 o'clock P. M. on
the 9th day 'of February, 1025, at
which time and place the bids for said
bonds shall be opened and considered
by the Common Council of said City.
Said bonds shall be dated February
1st, 1025, and mature in ten years
from date thereof, nnd be redeemable
at the office of the Treasurer of the
City of Eugene, Oregon, upon the
payment of the face value thereof,
with accrued Interest at the date of
payment at any semi-annual coupon
period at or after one year from date
of bond. Said bonds shall he in de
nominations of such amount as the
Common Council muy determine not
exceeding $500.00 each as may be
most convenient except that one cf
said bonds may be of such denomina
tion as will make the total amount of
the bonds hereby authorized and shall
bear interest at a rate not to exceed
6 per cent per annum payable semi
annually on the 1st day of February
and the 1st day of August each year.
Principal and interest payable at the
office of the City Treasurer, Eugene,
Oregon. Said bonds will be sold for
the highest price obtainable but not
less than par and accrued interest.
Sealed Bids will be received for the
purchase of all or any portion of said
bonds. The right is reserved to reject
any and all bids. Tho bonds offered
aro "Bancroft Bonds" based upon
street improvements as directed by
Ordinance number 44SO of Eugene,
Oregon.

corder of the City of Eugene, Oregon,
at his office in the City Hall of said
City until February 9, 1925, at the
hour? of 7:30 o'clock 1'. M. for the
purchase ..of. $10,000 "Paving. Inter
section Bonds' of said City, ns the
balance of an issue of $20,000 of Pnv
ing'; Intersection b'onds voted by the
people of the City of Kugenet Oregon,
on May 19, 1022, $10,000 thereof
having been sold on June 11, 1923.
Said bonds to be in denominations of
not less than $100 and not more than
$1000 each, to suit the purchaser. In
terest not to exceed six per cent per
annum payable semi-annually, prin
cipal and interest payable at the of
fice ot the City Treasurer ot Eugene,
Oregon, or as may be agreed upon by
the Common Council and the purchas
er. Bonds to bear such date as the
Mayor may designate, and to become
due fifteen years from the date
thereof.
A certified check equal to two per
cent of price bid must accompany hid
as evidence of good faith on the part
of bidder. The right, is reserved to re
ject any and all bids.
The Common Council will meet at
Council Chambers in the City Hall of
Eugene, Oregon, February 0, 1023, at
7:30 o'clock P. M. to open and con
