The liethesda Lutheran Ladies'
Aid society will meet Wednesday at

Road Load Weight
Order Questioned
Whether the transportation by

angle school at Blachly can be halted
in order to protect tho roads in that
district is a question that today
brought S. M. Horton and J. W. Rust,
chairman of the school board of that
district, here to confer with the coun
ty court. Mr. Rust stated that efforts
were to be made to enforce an order
of the road patrolman there dealing
with a limited load weight and that if
thia was put in force that it would bo
necessary to provide additional stages
to carry the children. The roada used
toind from the school are in road

Returns From Los Angeles
Mrs. John Marh with her daugh
ter Kitmary returned today from Los
Angeles where she has been visiting
at the home of her sisters and other
relatives for the past four weeks.
Motorist Is Fined
J. IV Lewis, accused of 'crossing
street intersections too fast with his
automobile, was fined $5 in municipal
court today by Judge George A. Gil-more.
Bounty Is Collected
The county bounty on a bobcat watt
collected at the office of the county

Many Voters Call
For County Clerk
Kugeuc's municipal auto park is
beiuj operated on a l.-immth basis
for the first time this year, says 1.
II. Parker, park superintendent. Sis
families,, are now residing at the
uiuip, and expect to suy through the
year. There are HO persons now liv
ing at the camp.
"This year has becu the most suc
cessful we have ever had,'' said Mr.
Parker, "Our total net receipts were
ol!-3, so it can be seen that the park
is more thou self-supporting. We
have received nothing but the most
favorable comments with regard to
the Eugene park, and no believe that
it is a real community asset.
It was recommended by Mayor K.
13. Parks at the council meeting last
night that some of the electric lights
be eliminated from the park, as the
power bill was amounting to ?0o a
month. Mr. Parker reported that only
four large lights were burning, and
C. A. McClain declared that number
of globes could not burn $U5 worth,
of electricity, so it was decided to
investigate the matter.
The same park board will have
charge of the city's parks next year,
Mayor Parks announced. This board
consists of P. M AA'ilkins, Alton
Hampton, Darwin Bristow and F. S.
McAlistcr.
"Equipment of thft auto camp, in
cluding the 1'J, cottages, is easily
worth $5000 by now," aaid D. II. Par
ker. 'The local camp is now one of
the largest in the stale of Oregon.

county clerk, as responses to "the
more than 6000 postal cords sent out
during tho past few days to Lane
county voters who have failed to vote
during a period of two years. The
dropping of the names from the regis
tration rolls will be started soon if
another registration is not made; la

Boys Club Organized
With, nine boys as charter mem
bers, a pioneer club was organized at

prevail here during the winter
months," says the hospital chief. "One
of the greatest problems is Uie man

mitted to the soldiers', home. He pos
sibly Is a veteran' bureau beneficiary
but may be A. XV. O. L. from some
other hospital,

at a hotel, he is disappointed and
