Government report of dairy hold ings on November first, has just been issued and ahows 135,u00,000 pounds of butter as compared tu 77,000,OUO pounds a year ago, or a surplus of ."8,UO0r000 pounds. A shortage in egg holdings is shown in the government report with 5, 2U5,000 cases us against 0,058,000 cases a year ago. A strong undertone is indicated in ihe local, onion market. Buyers ure unable to get good stocks under $1.75 to $1.85 at country points and some of the growers are holding for a $2 market. Good onions readily sell at $2.25 today and some ot the houses are asking $2.50. The potato market bIiows a better tone. Very few local spuds are offer ed yet and local dealers have to look to Yakima for their requirements. Trices ure up to r round $27 here. No No. 1 stock can be had fur less than $1.75.
