(AP) An extra session of the new con gress soon after next March 4, was rged today by Senator Borah, re publican, of Idaho who said be thought farm and railroad measures' as well as the world court proposal nd perhaps tax relief should be tat- en up at that time. the Idaho senator voiced his optn ion after a call on President Coolidgo. ! Administration offlciala close to the ' president indicated yesterday that he had no present plans for the calling a special session. - To Accomplish Little Senator Borah believes tust little ' in the way of geueral legislation will ; be accomplished at the coming short : session which is to be devoted largely j to work ou appropriations. He re- j gards a delay until the regular meet- ing of the new congress in December i of next year as unnecessary and uu- j warranted. As a result of tho death of Senator i Lodge he is in Hue for chairman of j tho foreign relntious committee, which is charged with chief responsibility for action ou tho world court proposal. An opinion contrary to that ot .Mr. Borah was expressed by representa tive Burton, republican of Ohio, an other White House caller, who said he saw no necessity (or an extra session. Gives Opinion Senator Borah said he told the president he believed the republicau party should "legislate as close to the election returns as possible" and for that reason, rf it were possible, im mediate steps should be taken even at the short session of congress for enactment of farm relief legislation, revision of transportation laws and the development of reclamation pro jects. The president agreed with linn, the Idaho senator said, that tho report of the fact finding commission on reclamation should be adopted. This commission waa appointed by the interior department and has suggest ed appropriations for a number of de partments. Senator BoraTi held the farraoro' difficulty was duo to excessive taxa tion, the low purchasing power 01 the dollar, tho lack ot a foreign market and transportation rates. Senator Uorulr placed himself on record as against efforts to "read out of the party" republicans who had associated themselves with the LaFol- lette movement in tho recent election. He declared "they should bo read ," adding "the main question is whether LaFollctto wants to come iuto tho party." 'He may not wish to come In, ho said. FOLTS SPEAKER AT .
