Dudley, manager of the Ore gon state chamber of commerce, ac companied by hia family, and Jake Al len, organization counsellor, paid a brief visit in Eugene today, on their way to Crater lake, where the an nual conference of the chambers of commerce of southern Oregon will be held Sunday. The conference will include repre sentatives from chambers of Rend, Klamath Falls, Ashland. Med ford, Grants Pass. Marshfield, Cotniille, North Bend, -Myrtle Point, and many other smaller organizations. Following the conference, Mr. Dudley and hin family will .return tn Portland, while Mr. Allen will go to Bend to spend the coming week di recting the fipancial work of the chamber. Later, hp will come through Eugene again, on his way to Coos points. One hundred and ninety-fnur men and women secured work through the local employment bureau this week. Of this number 1-10 were men, and 54 women. Aid To Service Fellows WASHINGTON, Aug. 15. The American Irfgion, after January T, 1025, will take over the financing of its rehabilitation- and laison service for disabled former service men, in which for the last three years it has been assisted by the American Ked Cross. The Red Cross today, in a state ment announcing the new arrange ment, announced that the termination of this financial aid would not end its service to disabled veterans. On the contrary, it said, expenditures from its national fund are expected to con tinue in proportion to the need of the ex-service man and his dependents.
