Mr. Wilson waa ropalrlng the tank of the gasoline engine which operates his wood saw. Ho was us ing a blow torch at the time, when urns poy came up with the the oottio of gasoline In hla hands. In some manner the torch came too v-iuan io inw gaaouue, ana before the father realised what the boy The child's clothing was a seeth lng mass of flames from the ex plosion, and- he ran screaming to ward the house. Handicapped by a wooden leg, the father was unable to catch up wun me ooy until the tot fell ex hausted to the ground. The cloth ing naa been burned almost entirely irom ms Doay. , Air. Wilson aarrled the boy to an automobile and rushed him to isugene and a physician's care. The oy was unconscious, and It was said that there waa not a patch of skin on his body, limbs or head three square Inches. Later he was takon to the hospital, where he died. The father was painfully burned about the hands In attempting to extinguish the flames whloh en gulfed the boy. The child Is survived by Ills moth er as well as his father.
