Organization of a baseball team has
been completed by the Knights of
Columbus here, and games are to be
scheduled with out of town nines in
tbe near future. At the present time
only local teams are being played, as
the team is waiting until Vitus, their
star twirler. will be through with the
Oregon frosh.
Looking Over Road
Nelson F. Macduff, supervisor cf
the Cnscade nntional forest, has left
with F. H. Brundage of Portland,
road and trail work supervisor, for an
inspection trip of the South Fork
road. They plan to confer with J. K.
Carlile of Walton on the'r trip. Car

Oratorical Contest Scheduled
Three universities, Oregon, Wash
ington, and Idaho, will meet in tbe
annual tn-statc oratorical contest.

Peterson Goes South
II. William Peterson, manager of
the local C. J. Breicr store, loft this
morning on a business trip of several
dars to Klamath Falls and points in,

panied by C. J. Breier, head of the
firm, of Lewiston, Idaho nnd Paul
Myers, of Portland. They will prob
ably return here the first of next
