Most of tho shipping orders were filled
last night and the liberal receipts proved
to be no more than sufficient for the
business. The market in general was firm
at 47 cents with aii occasional sale at
40 cents. City buyers will bo depended
on to take care of today's arrivals, and
the course of prices during the next
three dnys will depend on the quantity
coming forward. Most dealers look for a
firm market. ,
Egg Advance Due Today .
Ttio egg market was firm und a gen'
eral advance in selling prices is expected
today. It is not thought that the cold
weather has checked the lay, but it has
kept many farmers from marketing their
eggs.
Butter was firm with lighter receipts
of both cream and country cubes. Much
of the cream received was half froxen.
Tho demand was good and extras again
brought 42 cents. Prime firsts sold at 41
hud 41 cents.
